November 3, 2006   Engineer's Addendum is sent to all parties on Certificate of Service.  The Burton Hill Farm silo location is the perfect solution to the long contested proposed Verizon cell tower location near the peak of Barton Mountain.  Here is a win-win solution for Verizon, for opponents to the instrusive Barton Mountain site, and for the citizens of Barton and towns around the area.   The Burton Hill Farm silo site gives solid telecommunications coverage to I-91 and Route 5, including Barton Village, businesses along Route 5, as well as vast locations north, south, east, and west providing cell service to innumberable residences.  See Engineer's Addendum dated October 9, 2006.  Photo at right taken from the top of the Burton Hill silo shows Barton Village to the southeast; the photo below taken at from ground level near the silo shows a clear line-of-sight north into Orleans village, east toward Brownington and Evansville, and north along the interstate.

September 11, 2006  - 2nd Hearing Recess Order Troubling to Opposition.   No Mention Is Made Of New Site: The Burton Hill Farm Silo, A Permitted Antenna Site Since October of 2004.  This location has received no opposition.  Unfortunately, in an good will effort to find an alternative solution, Commissioners contemplate enlargement of the Unicel site to the distress of neighbors and the opposition.  The Burton Hill Farm Silo will provide superior cell phone coverage to I-91 and Route 5 as well as providing cell phone coverage to Barton and Orleans Villages.
